A property release is a legal agreement between a photographer/artist and the property owner — or a corporate representative if the property is owned by a company. By signing a property release, that person gives the photographer/artist permission to distribute the image for broad usage rights (including commercial, promotional, and marketing uses, and modifying the image) without further compensation to, or approval from the property owner or their representatives.
